After Delivery
Your clones have been through a journey. Follow these steps to help them settle in and thrive.
cloneconservatory.comAs soon as your clones arrive, open the box and gently remove them. Mist the leaves lightly with plain water — transit can dry them out. Do not water the medium heavily right away; just a light mist on the foliage is enough to perk them back up. Keep a dome or plastic wrap over them and slowly lower the humidity until the plant is fully acclimated to its new environment.
Place clones under low-intensity light (T5 fluorescents or LEDs dimmed to 25–50%) for the first 24–48 hours. Avoid intense direct light immediately — stressed clones need time to recover before handling full intensity. Aim for an 18/6 light cycle.
Keep relative humidity between 65–80% for the first few days. A humidity dome placed loosely over the clones traps moisture and reduces transpiration stress. Crack the dome slightly each day to gradually acclimate them to ambient air.
Ideal temperature range is 70–78°F (21–26°C). Avoid cold drafts, air conditioning blowing directly on plants, or heat spikes above 85°F. Consistent temps reduce transplant shock and encourage root development.
Give your clones 24–72 hours to stabilize before transplanting into their final medium. Look for signs of recovery — upright stems, firm leaves, and new growth. Once roots are visible and the plant looks healthy, it's ready to move.
Wilting, yellowing, or drooping leaves in the first 48 hours is normal. If wilting persists past 72 hours, increase humidity, reduce light intensity, and check that roots aren't sitting in standing water. Most clones bounce back with patience.

A clone is a cutting taken from a mother plant and rooted to produce a genetically identical plant. Clones skip the seedling stage, saving you weeks of grow time and guaranteeing the sex and genetics of your plant.
